In short: Lookupist helps you look up and add records in your own CRM from the websites you visit. Use it lawfully and respect people’s privacy when you add their details to your CRM. Paid plans renew until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Lookupist (“Lookupist”, “we”, “us”), based in the United Kingdom. They apply to the Lookupist website and the Lookupist browser extensions for Zoho CRM, HubSpot and Attio (the “Service”).
Lookupist is built and maintained by Wintactix, our development team, which also publishes Lookupist on the Attio App Store. Our sign-in and account services run on our server at api.cloudshowplace.com, a domain owned and used by Lookupist.
By installing or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use Lookupist for a company, you agree on its behalf and confirm you’re allowed to do so.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these terms.
2. The Service
Lookupist is a browser extension that:
- shows whether people and businesses on the web pages you visit are already in your CRM
- lets you look up records from text you highlight
- lets you add new records to your CRM
Each supported CRM has its own version of the extension.
3. Who can use Lookupist
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract. Lookupist is meant for business and professional use.
4. Your account and CRM connection
- You connect Lookupist to your CRM through your CRM’s official sign-in. Only connect CRM accounts you’re allowed to use. You’re responsible for what happens through your account.
- Lookupist acts in your CRM with the access you approve. Records you create are created by your CRM user, and your CRM’s own permissions and limits still apply.
- Keep your device and sign-in secure. Tell us if you think someone has used your account without permission.
- You can disconnect Lookupist at any time by signing out of the extension or removing its access in your CRM settings.
5. Your data and other people’s data
- Your CRM data belongs to you or your organisation. Lookupist doesn’t claim ownership of it.
- You’re responsible for the information you add to your CRM. When you save details about people from websites, you must have a lawful reason to do so and follow the data protection and marketing laws that apply to you, such as the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and anti-spam laws.
- You must also respect the terms of the websites you use Lookupist on, including any rules about collecting information from them.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful
- use it to send spam or to harass anyone
- try to break, overload or get around the Service’s security, limits or free trial
- copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing product from the Service, except where the law allows it
- share your account or access with people who aren’t allowed to use it
We may suspend or end access if you break these rules.
7. Free trial, plans and payment
- New users get a free trial with a limited number of saves and searches. When the trial is used up, you’ll need a paid plan to keep using the Service.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay.
- Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the subscription page, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Payments are not refunded for partial periods, unless the law requires it.
- We may change prices. We’ll tell you before a change affects your next renewal.
8. Third-party services
Lookupist works with services run by other companies, such as your CRM (Zoho CRM, HubSpot or Attio), Google Chrome and Stripe. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them. We’re not responsible for those services or for changes they make that affect Lookupist.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and brand, belongs to Lookupist. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. Zoho CRM, HubSpot, Attio and other names are trademarks of their owners. Lookupist is not made or endorsed by them.
10. Changes and availability
We keep improving Lookupist, so features may change. We aim to keep the Service running smoothly, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors, for example during maintenance or if a CRM changes its systems.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using Lookupist at any time by removing the extension and cancelling any paid plan. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the Service. If we stop offering the Service, we’ll give reasonable notice where we can.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”. Lookupist shows information from your CRM and from the websites you visit, and we can’t guarantee that this information is complete, accurate or up to date. Check important details before you rely on them.
13. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Apart from that:
- we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunities
- our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is important, we’ll tell you through the website or the extension before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new terms.
